Prepare to embark on a mind-bending odyssey through the cosmos this week as we delve into the captivating theme of Body Cosmic! Journey beyond the boundaries of the physical form and explore the interconnectedness of the universe through stories that transcend time and space.

(That is a heavy burden for a bunch of one page comics…but we did it.)

Story by C. J. Wilson | Art by Aerie Skysinger | Letters by Tom Lynott
Story by Jonathan Chiotis | Art by Kenneth Fontano | Letters by Tom Lynott
Story by Mustafa Kemal Özdemir | Art and Letters by Kaan Emre Kurt
Story by Christian De Matteo | Art and Letters by Jack Van Thomme

Whether it’s novels, comics, or video games, C.J. Wilson loves telling character-focused tales that try for poignancy and depth… or at least for entertainment. He is currently pitching one novel, finishing another, and working as a lead narrative designer for a small game development project while penning comics. When he’s not writing or reading, you can find him gaming, cooking, hiking, traveling, or out at a show somewhere. He lives in Brooklyn, New York. He’s always open to new projects and loves talking writing, so feel free to reach out! http://cjwilsonstories.com/ https://www.linkedin.com/in/connor-d-johnson/

Tom Lynott lives in Arizona with his adorable wife, two boys and a Corgi / Border-Collie mix named Ace. He took part in Comics Experience’s Introduction to Lettering Comics class in May 2021. You can see more of his work at https://tomlynottcomiclettering.myportfolio.com/. He has also been known to script a story or two.

Jonathan Chiotis is a writer of short stories and poems. He authored St. Anthony’s Fire in 2007 but since then has followed his passion for creating comic books. Doing the art, writing, and lettering for several mini comics with inept ability. Currently working on character creation with a focus on ultraviolent action, cinematic dialog, and the supernatural. He attended two semesters of art school, evidence which is undetectable in any of his works.

Kenneth Fontano is a retired Air Force veteran of 20 years, and a lover of comic books. He is currently a full-time freelance artist and is currently working on Red Collar, an 80’s, synthwave thriller about an inner-city drug epidemic, corporate corruption, and a budding element of vampirism. Check out Red Collar here https://www.instagram.com/redcollarcomic/ and get Kenneth’s work here https://nadiaspaigeboutique.com/collections/coloring-page

Kaan Emre Kurt is an aspiring writer/artist from Turkey. He has been into comics since he was small but has really started leaning into it in the last two years. He mainly writes action focused comics but he’s been trying to branch out and try different stuff.

Ryan always enjoyed reading comics and copying the images, from Beano to the Real Ghostbusters to the Punisher. He joined a charity art group a few years ago which really got him back in to putting pen to paper. Now he is here at The Comic Jam and is getting to produce some great comics with other creatives.

Kevin D. Lintz is a comic book letterer, writer, and editor. He learned his skills in a Comics Experience class and honed them on the mean streets of his all-ages comic book, Team SLUG. He startles his family by making sound effect noises out loud to try and translate them into written words. He has even watched “Helvetica”, the full-length feature movie about the font Helvetica. https://lintzlettering.com/

Mustafa Kemal Özdemir is an artist currently working on Los Vaqueros, a superhero comic about a group of vigilantes trying to fight against supervillains who have been ruling over the USA for the last two years. He also animates and he has worked for a couple of small game projects. You can see his work at https://www.instagram.com/malmust__/

Christian De Matteo is a writer and college professor, founder of Tellworthy.com and co-founder of FugitivePoems.com with artist-extraordinaire James Lines. He loves all forms of art and entertainment, enjoys long walks on the beach and other less sandy locations, and is fatally allergic to fluffy cats (in case you wanted to get rid of him). He can be found pontificating/dad-joking on Twitter: @CDMetc and @FugitivePoems. He cannot draw. Like at all.

Jack Van Thomme illustrates comics and pitches in when he can. You can see the things he likes to draw and read the things he likes to talk about on Twitter and Instagram @Real_JackVT https://www.instagram.com/real_jackvt/
