Hello God, are you there?

Came across this verse in the Bible that really woke me up!

Proverbs 28:9 | God has no use for the prayers of the people who won’t listen to him

Everybody on this earth has access to having a personal relationship with God because of what Jesus did for us on the cross. Now what is meant by a relationship?

How do we behave towards God? Do we behave in a way that is respectful, in a way that seeks to do the things that please him, for example, simply just loving one another. Do we even say thank you to God everyday for the things that he does for us, for example: the roof that you are currently living under, the clothes that you are currently wearing, the food that you have eaten?

When someone gives us a present do we just stare blank in their face or do we say thank you? (Hopefully, you say thank you!)

In the same way, God gives us presents every single day — waking up every morning is a gift we receive every day, do you think that it is because you have good health that you are waking up everyday? God is the one who provides the air we require to live, even those with good health have suddenly died. Thank God every single day, he deserves it!

Back to the verse, we need to listen to God otherwise it just becomes an abusive relationship because it turns into a one sided affair. You want all these things from God but you don’t even want to do one thing that he wants from you. I am very sure that no one wants to be in a relationship like that with their friends/partners, so why are we doing that to God?

God wants to be our best friend, will you accept?
