Foundation Day celebrations are always special. Especially if it’s the 20th year celebration and the company has climbed many ladders of success in this given time. Every company small or big owes its success to its workforce and on a special day as this where you have much to celebrate and be thankful for, the people you need to celebrate is your workforce and the collective force behind your joint mission.

CouthIT recognises this asset wholeheartedly and had planned a day with us where their employees could come, enjoy themselves, let their hair down and put their feet up. This was the management’s way of saying thank-you and we, at The Culinary Lounge were determined to leave no stone unturned to make the day truly worthy of them.

Our F&B partner for the event was Radisson Hyderabad, Hitec City. The guests were welcomed with beverages and snacks prepared by Chef Sangeeta, our in-house chef. The guests enjoyed the Hara Bhara Kababs and Honey Glazed Babycorn while they settled into the lounge area for a presentation and prize distribution session by the Management. With their talents applauded and appreciated, they moved into the kitchen to wage a war with each other and emerge as the star chefs team of the day.

The kitchen war planned entailed cooking some classic Indian dishes; Veg Pulao, Roti, Paneer Butter Masala and Kheer. The teams donned their competitive caps while Chef sangeeta explained the rules of the game to them. Each team had 1 hour to cook all the 4 dishes and at the end of it they would be judged on taste, hygiene and presentation. The teams got to work enthusiastically. Each team were going to cook the same dishes and try and earn brownie points with the judges through presentation, cleanliness and adding their own unique touch to their respective dishes. The judges for the afternoon were Chef John Biswas, Executive Chef, Radisson Hyderabad, Hitec City and Chef Sangeeta Kante, In-House Chef, The Culinary Lounge. Each team presented their dishes beautifully. You could see the amount of heart and effort each had put into the task. Some even had a story to tell behind the presentation of their dishes. The judges had a tough time choosing a clear winner, but finally, they did.

Now, with the cook-off completed, we moved into lunch and the team from Radisson Hyderabad Hitec City put up a delicious Mexican spread for our guests. The spread included some classic Mexican delicacies like Jalapeno Cheddar Cheese Poppers, Creamy Enchilada, Empanadas, Burritos, etc. Our guests had worked up quite an appetite with that cook-off and relished the lunch thoroughly. With tummies satisfied, it was time to bid adieu but what made us most happy was the smile on everyone’s faces. The Culinary Lounge had pulled off another successful event. Yet again.
