Berkley, CA — The Fear of Missing Out, or FOMO for short, is a widespread and rapidly spreading condition across the globe. With a sudden onset and long-tail symptoms, it affects 1 in 8 young adults and nearly 1 in 2 teens under the age of 16. The feelings of severe regret, hopelessness, and despair takes a debilitating toll on FOMO sufferers with seemingly no cure in sight. Or is there?

A recent clinical study conducted by The American Association of Alternative Medicine shows promising signs for treatment of acute FOMO. The study, published in TAAAM’s quarterly editorial Toke Up 420 Dank Paperz: Q4 2016, claims a moderate dose of marijuana may reduce or even eliminate symptoms of FOMO. Of the clinical subjects:

  • 16 felt absolutely no FOMO-induced anxiety after medication
  • 3 fell into a deep paranoia which detracted from the original fear of missing out
  • 1 person refused to partake as he only vapes (which was not an option in the controlled study)

Further studies are in the works in an effort to learn more about the benefits of marijuana against FOMO.
