Altcoin News: Bitmain Launches Large Texas Bitcoin Mining Farm

The Chinese mining company Bitmain this Monday reported on the completion of construction and the launch of a new farm in Texas Rockdale.
“We are excited to launch this facility, which is significant to Bitmain’s global expansion plans. The stable and efficient energy resources in Texas are fundamental to the inevitable scale of growth for the cryptocurrency mining industry,” said Clinton Brown, Rockdale Lead Project Manager for Bitmain.
According to the publication, the construction of a 25 MW farm began in 2018. In the near future, Bitmain plans to increase capacity to 50 MW, and in the future can expand it to 300 MW “making it the largest bitcoin mining facility in the world”
Rockdale Mayor John King praised the collaboration with Bitmain, noting that the Chinese mining company will be engaged in the development of new industrial projects in Texas.
According to Bitmain, in the construction of the farm used the technology registered by her in one of the latest patents. This is the third mining project supported by Bitmain in the USA — one of the main directions of the foreign expansion of the company.
The development of the new farm was carried out in conjunction with DMG, which will continue to provide management services. In addition, a local human resources commission will be involved in the expansion of the enterprise, and local suppliers will give priority to the further expansion of Bitmain space.
Recall that recently Bitmain announced two new miners from the Antminer 17 line: S17 + and T17 +.
