Altcoin News: CoinMarketCap Notifies Users of a Drop in the Bitcoin Rate to Zero

Users of CoinMarketCap’s own cryptocurrency price tracking service application could be unpleasantly surprised this morning by receiving a notification with the following text: “Bitcoin is now below 5,300 USD (currently at 0.00 USD).”
Absurd values were displayed on the site itself. So, due to an unknown bug, Bitcoin temporarily disappeared from the calculations, giving Ethereum supporters a moment of triumph, and the displayed total segment capitalization instantly dropped to $83 billion.
In fact, all this time Bitcoin continued to trade at around $10,200 without noticeable deviations.
Last week, CoinMarketCap notified users of a sudden Ocean Protocol pump, for obscure reasons, removing all exchanges from the index except one where the exchange rate deviated.
At the beginning of 2018, the service removed data from South Korean exchanges from XRP price calculations, thereby instantly lowering the displayed price and causing a wave of panic sales among investors.
