Altcoin News: Crypto Bank Galaxy Digital Has Received a FINRA Underwriter License

Cryptocurrency trading bank Galaxy Digital became the owner of an underwriter license issued by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of the USA (FINRA), a press release prepared by the company testifies.
The license was issued to a broker-dealer division of a company called Galaxy Digital Advisors LLC and will allow it to act as a guarantor when conducting registered public offers of equity, debt and other corporate securities in the United States. Earlier, Galaxy Digital had the right to head closed placements of securities as a placement agent, as well as provide consulting services.
The company’s founder, Mike Novogratz, claims that the new license will help them in attracting institutional investors to the digital asset market.
The head of the Galaxy Digital consulting division, Ian Taylor, explained:
“This is an important step in the development of our advisory franchise. With this approval, we now have the ability to finance digital asset and blockchain technology companies through their entire life cycle — from founding, through private capital raisings, to their initial public offering and beyond.”
Earlier this month, Novogratz said that he would not sell his Bitcoins when the price of cryptocurrency rises next time to his local maximum of about $14,000.
