The U.S. Army contract command in New Jersey has announced the opening of a preliminary search for a cryptocurrency investigation service provider, the Cointelegraph writes.
According to the publication, the decision will be used by the criminal command during investigations and other tasks. The service provider must provide a cloud solution that does not require additional software or equipment that will detect cases of illegal use of cryptocurrencies, including fraud, extortion and money laundering.
The US military wants to be able to receive information about the senders of Bitcoins and other large cryptocurrencies in real-time. In addition, the range of requested information includes the definition of individual services, the identification of transaction patterns and interactions between various participants in the blockchain space.
Last fall, the analytical company Diar reported that US authorities have increased 3 times the costs of investigative activities in the field of blockchain.
In July, it became known that the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is looking for a provider of data from cryptocurrency networks.
