Cliche, but appropriate.

We are right at two weeks away from delivering our solution concept to our client and spent a lot of time as a team polishing and refining our top two ideas. Here’s the twist though: after a second review of both concepts together — we saw them as complementary and decided to merge their best features into one. Like a build-your-own-burrito-bar.

Our beautiful hybrid baby

It was important for us to clearly match our design decisions to our research. On the diagram, the red notes map the key feature to the research insight we gathered from our literature reviews, interviews, and survey. This is a fairly detailed prototype and we are looking at what evaluative exercise we can do with our client to identify what to prioritize in our build, as well as what pieces need additional refinement.

True to our name, The Artists have also been hard at work designing an “experience” that will help our presentation guests embody what we think is most critical about Disasters. We had a group consultation with sceptical futuryst and CMU professor Stuart Candy who had us low-key shook (is that how the kids use this word? idk) about our fairly well-baked, super secret activity. So back to the literal drawing board on that one. But fret not Attendees-of-our-May 7-Presentation, we’ll have something bomb for you.

Bomb was probably not the best word choice >_<

We’ll have something great for you.

Onward to week 13!
