Week 2: Research Kickoff

The Research Plan is live! Jon and Nish discuss our research goals in light of our GIANT PROJECT SCOPE. For the first of our three week exploratory phase, we look at secondary (literature) and guerrilla research, and attempt to learn what average citizen does in a disaster — where they think to go, what they need, who they contact, etc.

Quoth Nish*: “Do as much secondary research as you can, do as much primary research as you must”. In that vein, we plan to do a meta-review of disaster preparedness surveys linked by FEMA instead of creating our own MTurk survey. Quoth Brooke*: “Good artists copy, great artists steal”.
