The final presentation day is approaching and the team has only three weeks left, time really flies! With this in mind and having to finish Sheltr, our solution, the team focused on three key points this week:

1- Making final adjustments to the solution design.

The team’s design lead had a long week, focusing on UI aspects such as colors and button placements. The initial purple and yellow color that was part of previous design versions was changed to red and blue, trying to ensure that Sheltr, which is an emergency app, had a more serious interface.

The feedback obtained from user testing on the previous week proved to be very helpful and also reflected on changes in the app structure and design.

2- Coding the solution.

Our tech lead also worked at full speed, trying to ensure that most of the app animations and screens interactions were working and responsive to any screen size. The team is considering doing a real-time demo during the presentation and so, needs a well functioning app.

Some more dramatic reenactment

3- Creating the presentation flow.

Two team members were responsible for thinking about initial aspects of the presentation. We’re incorporating the feedback obtained from our past presentation, in May, to make sure we can perform even better this time. Important aspects such as the narrative and how to present our solution in an interesting and compelling way are some of the key points being considered.

The next weeks won’t be any easier, but the team is ready for the challenge and to finish up this project at a high level!
