On Sept. 28, three women wore blackface and posted a picture on Snapchat with a caption that said, “drink the mf Kool-Aid.”

Columbia College released this statement:

“All members of our community, including the students involved, will be held accountable for their individual actions. The College’s leadership is taking swift and appropriate action. Those involved in the incident that took place via social media last night will proceed through the College’s judiciary process and will not be on campus until this investigation is complete.”

The President of Columbia College, Elizabeth Dinndorf, released a statement on Sept. 29, and stated the student’s actions do not represent the university and that disciplinary action will take place, and released another statement on Sept. 30 stating that the disciplinary process was still underway.

An Oct. 12 statement from President Dinndorf said that one student voluntarily withdrew from the college and that the other two are in the process of voluntarily withdrawing.
