Reflections on a tough, tough summer
ملجأ is the Arabic word for (shelter): Safety, warmth, protection.
I came across this quote while reading “Our Missing Hearts” by Celeste Ng and I felt it in my very core. It hasn’t faded; the mental struggle of leaving home again because of blind blanket regulations to scramble for shelter so far away in a pigeon hole on top of a high tower in a sea of glass towers.

And with the horrific wars raging everywhere, hundreds of thousands of innocents sleeping on the streets, one remembers to thank God for the huge blessing of shelter. It is astoundingly scary to lose it…pray for them. اللهم سلم 💔
