For a century and well-nigh five decades, the double blue assemblage has ne’er failed in creating men of grit, gentlemen of calibre and luminaries of humility and faith. For myriad generations, the icons born and bred at Karlshrue have left the gates of Wesley as beaux idéals of chivalry, integrity and valour. The traits inculcated in the character of every Wesleyite seldom departs his personality, regardless of his locale and milieu. It is this eminence that radiates the transcendence of any personage belonging to the Karlshrue brotherhood.

The alumni of Wesley College, subsequent to the refinement and finesse of disposition through the teachings at Wesley, have certainly not obliterated the traits instilled within, as they set foot beyond the gates of Karlshrue. The name of Wesley has advanced to create men who have become not only “firsts in the nation”, but also “firsts in the world”. The alma mater, through its benefactors have concocted an esteemed reputation in the corporate field, the arts, medicine, academia, sports and almost any sphere of the modern world. It is a very oft heard saying that, “no matter where you go in the world, you are bound to meet a Wesleyite” which in turn is certain to be true.

The Double Blue Network of Wesley College, has aspired to gleam the limelight on all eminent personages and paragons that have triumphed in uplifting the name of Wesley. The attainments, accomplishments, accolades and achievements that have edified the name of Wesley through the sheer will, passion and commitment of Wesleyites — old and young — have been acknowledged through the network’s virtual production “Life and Double Blue”.

On this episode of Life and Double Blue, we sat down with media personality and corporate etiquette trainer Kumar de Silva to talk about his life as a student at Wesley and the things he’s been getting up to since leaving!

“Life and Double Blue” is a series of online interviews and dialogue conducted through the distinguished virtual platforms of Facebook and Instagram coordinated by the Double Blue Network. The colloquy is broadcast live through Facebook and Instagram, whilst a recording of it, is subsequently publicized on the Double Blue YouTube platform. The series accentuates the lives and experiences of illustrious and esteemed individuals belonging to the Wesley Alumni and the Double Blue fraternity who have flourished and prospered in an array of fields.

The ethos of “Life and Double Blue” is to provide all viewers the determination and moral support to pursue their dreams and aspirations, through the living precedents set by the Wesley alumni and fraternity. With consideration to the warm and congenial atmosphere between the moderator and the interviewee, a vast aggregate of students from various other schools have been anticipating every interview with much intrigue.

On this episode of Life and Double Blue, we sat down with professional cricketer and Old Wesleyite Farveez Maharoof to talk about his stories, think on old memories and talk about important experience in his life.

“Double Blue” is acknowledged as the premiere school-based media organization to introduce an interactive event viz “Life and Double Blue”. The real time “Question and Answer” sessions provide viewers an exclusive opportunity of receiving cognizance and enlightenment through the palpable experiences of the Wesley alumni. Although the sessions tend to be quite informative, it simultaneously is a sentiment of nostalgia for all the past Wesleyites witnessing the programme from across the world, as they reminisce their golden years at College.

Former guests that have stolen the limelight through “Life and Double Blue” are supreme personalities such as, Christopher Wijesinghe, Farveez Maharoof, Kumar De Silva, Lasith Fernando, Rahul De Silva, Samuel Ogbebor and Brandon Ingram. The sessions have been acquired by all viewers with much salutation and fervour. The feedback received subsequent to every interview has consistently been affirmative and favourable; particularly considering the demand for such an initiative. The extensive fan base of Double Blue cherishes a prolonged ardour and eagerness for every exhilarating session or dynamic initiative orchestrated.

On this episode of Life and Double Blue, we sat down with actor, director, and writer Brandon Damian Ingram to talk about his upcoming film project ‘Funny Boy’.

Double Blue aspires to broaden this platform with the ethos of inspiring a vaster proportion of individuals — young and old, regardless of their backgrounds, whilst providing them an opportunity to enlighten themselves on perseverance and tenacity as they set foot on their journeys toward success. The stupendous personas of the Wesley alumni that have been a part of the show thus far have only been the tip of the iceberg. There prevails a multitude of individuals belonging to the Wesley alumni that the limelight is yet to shine upon. Eventually “Life and Double Blue” hopes to cross paths with every single one of them, and anticipates the evolution of present Wesleyites to becoming revered, saluted and esteemed individuals in society.
