The DX Network — project update (July 5, 2018)

The DX Network is the world’s first business data marketplace. It combines Blockchain and the Semantic Web stack to enable secure, open and efficient data exchange between organizations — turning data into a tradable asset.

Where we are right now:

Product Development

After 3 months iterating over the network’s architecture, we finally published the API docs as a reference for developers who plan to build applications using data from the DX data marketplaces. The DX Network’s interface (API) has been reviewed by pilot participants and our R&D advisor, we’ll publish a detailed post about this in the coming weeks!

This is a major project milestone, which allows us to now fully focus on implementing the alpha version of the network to be launched in Q3.

Team

We are in the process of adding 2 key advisors. A data law advisor to help design the network’s platform agreement (similar to Ethereum’s legal agreement) and a token sale advisor or advisory firm (perhaps both) to ensure the DX Network’s token sale is conducted as smoothly as possible.

Token Sale

While we can’t announce the token economics and exact sale timeline yet for legal reasons, what we can share with you is that the token sale will be conducted in three phases: private sale, pre-sale and public sale (all capped).

The aim of the private sale is to raise a relatively small amount to cover legal costs, start growing the team and provide the runway necessary to carry out the pre and public sales. The pre-sale will be open to select whitelisted investors (you can apply here) with a minimum contribution and the public sale will be open to anyone with a lower minimum contribution amount.

Traction

The size of our community grew from 40,000 to over 50,000 subscribers across our newsletter and social channels and the number of early token sale registrants went from 700 to over 1,000 since the last update!

As the project is getting increasingly more steam behind it, we have closed down the early supporter airdrop, replacing it by a new lighter version. If you haven’t registered to get free DX Tokens yet, you can do so here.
