BSC Integration Has Arrived On SparkPoint Wallet
A quick how-to on setting up your wallet and managing SRKb and SFUEL tokens using SparkPoint Wallet
The long-awaited Binance Smart Chain (BSC) integration has finally arrived in the in-house non-custodian wallet, the SparkPoint Wallet app. The wallet app version 6.4 that carries the BSC integration update has left the beta phase and is now available for everyone to download. The update is also slated to hit the iOS version of SparkPoint Wallet soon.
The beta initially brought 3 BEP-20 tokens to SparkPoint Wallet, namely SFUEL, SRKb, and BNB, but today, we see BUSD as well on the list of supported BEP-20 tokens. That’s some major support for BSC tokens!
According to SparkPoint’s dev team, more BEP-20 tokens will be arriving soon, including the other SRK tokens: bSRK (bridged through BurgerSwap), and SRK on BSC (through JustLiquidity). These SRK siblings will be joining soon the official SparkPoint Token on BSC — SRKb (created through SparkPoint’s own bridging smart contract) on the supported BEP-20 tokens on SparkPoint Wallet.
Now that the major tokens of SparkPoint, SparkDeFi, and BSC are now present on the wallet app, then how do we migrate those SRKb, SFUEL, and BNB/BUSD tokens from other wallets apps to SparkPoint Wallet? Well, these tokens should stay in the SparkPoint Wallet if we’re deeply involved in the SparkPoint Ecosystem, right? Come on, let’s get through this on this quick tutorial.
Migrating your BEP-20 tokens to SparkPoint Wallet
What do you need in order for the migration to be successful?
a. Recovery/seed phrase of your existing wallet app
b. SparkPoint Wallet app
In this tutorial, I’ll be migrating my tokens from MetaMask wallet to SparkPoint Wallet so I’ll be getting the recovery/seed phrase of my MetaMask account. Here we go.
Getting your recovery/seed phrase
- Launch your MetaMask wallet, if you were asked to type your password, type it on and tap login. Once you successfully logged in, tap the hamburger menu on the upper left corner of the interface and tap Settings.
- Then, tap Security and Privacy.
- Tap Reveal Secret Recovery phrase.
4. You’ll be asked for your password, type it on and tap Next.
Note your recovery phrase somewhere secure, you might want to write it on paper and burn it after using it.
WARNING: DO NOT SHARE THE PHRASE WITH ANYONE. THOSE PHRASES CAN BE USED TO STEAL ALL YOUR ACCOUNTS. Now you’ve been warned.
Migrating to SparkPoint Wallet
Now that you have your recovery phrase, you are now ready to migrate your tokens to SparkPoint Wallet. Download the latest SparkPoint Wallet app first by clicking here.
- Launch SparkPoint app.
- Tap Recover Wallet.
- Now you’ll be asked to input your seed/recovery phrase. Type it down, and double-check if you typed it correctly. Some failed to notice the white spaces between each word or sometimes they misspelled a word that’s why they can’t get through on this process.
- Once you finish typing your seed/recovery phrase, tap Next.
- You’ll be asked to set up your 4-digit PIN and confirm it by typing it once again.
- Once you’ve set it up, you’re done!
You’ll be greeted by the SparkPoint Wallet home screen. Your MetaMask wallet’s SRKb, SFUEL, BNB, BUSD balances, and other ERC-20 tokens supported by SparkPoint wallet should appear on the corresponding list.
Remember that SparkPoint Wallet only supports a number of ERC-20 and BEP-20 tokens. So if you have other tokens on your MetaMask wallet specifically on your address, aside from those SparkPoint Wallet already supports, then it will not appear.
Takeaways
Now, you have successfully migrated to SparkPoint Wallet. You can now easily see your SRKb and SFUEL balances especially if your wallet’s public address is linked to SparkDeFi Liquidity Staking and Pool-based Staking dApp through MetaMask. You can now see your earned rewards from SparkDeFi reflected on your SparkPoint wallet app. You can also see and check recent transactions just underneath the token’s available balance.
Sending and receiving SRKb or SFUEL tokens is a breeze within the app unlike when it’s on MetaMask or Trust Wallet since these tokens should be added first as a custom token. On the SparkPoint Wallet app, SRK (ERC-20), SRKb, SFUEL, and other BEP-20 tokens are fully integrated into the app so you don’t have to go through searching for the token’s contract address and add it as a custom token, and before all of that, you need to first set up BSC on other wallets by adding the network’s settings.
This will be also helpful for those who anticipate the scheduled quarterly SFUEL or SRK airdrops. You don’t have to set up such complicated measures just to make sure you’ll receive the airdrop. The main requirement on these quarterly airdrops is that you need to at least hold SRK or SFUEL on your wallet for you to be eligible. In SparkPoint wallet, as long as you hold SRK or SFUEL, you’ll receive it! And you don’t have to worry and do complicated processes like setting up SRK and SFUEL on other wallets, transferring back and forth wallet’s SRK or SFUEL balance to other wallet addresses (like literally sending over the blockchain’s network which will surely cost some fees), and so much more complicated steps.
