SparkPoint Updates #11: August 2020
We continue the momentum from July with a new ATH right at the beginning of August. DeFi development has started and our team added new senior members. We’ve also listed in more exchanges last month than any other month in the past. Let’s explore these 13 (wow!) updates from August.
1. Won Sistemkoin Voting and New Exchange Listing
We won the Sistemkoin voting competition and got listed. Sistemkoin is one of the biggest exchanges in Turkey. We’ve also distributed 10M SRK tokens to the voting participants. Turkey is also very bullish on Bitcoin and we’re hoping this will also positively affect SRK.

2. Crypto Shooter Game Development
We started development of our 3rd game, Crypto Shooter, last month and will be launching the Beta next week. The game is based on the popular “bubble shooter” genre. Similar games on the Play Store have 100M+ downloads. We’d be very happy to capture 1% of this market.
We’re also introducing our company mascot, Sparky the Sparrow, in Crypto Shooter. You’ll see more of Sparky in our future posts. Who knows, we might also launch cute merchandise or NFTs featuring Sparky in the near future.
3. Crypto Slicer NFT Bundle Bought with SRK
Our first ever NFT bundle was bought using SRK tokens. The Legendary Crypto Slicer Swords #7 was bought for 50,000 SRK. Buying NFTs is another potential use case and utility for the SRK token. We’ve also explored using our Crypto Slicer NFTs as prize multiplier tickets in our recent Crypto Slicer tournament. In the future, players can also use the sword NFTs as weapons with special abilities in the Crypto Slicer game.

4. Crypto Slicer Tournament 3 Prizes Distributed
We’ve distributed 2M+ SRK tokens (currently worth $1,800+) to 19 players who won our 3rd Crypto Slicer tournament. Two of the players took advantage of the Crypto Slicer NFT prize multiplier so they were able to maximize their earnings with an additional 50% bonus!
Ms. Janette Ferrer, an OFW (Overseas Filipino Worker) in Italy is our Tournament 3 Champion with total winnings of 1,050,000 SRK. Congratulations again, Janette!

5. Crypto Burst Reached 10,000+ Downloads
Crypto Burst has now been downloaded 10,000+ times and have reached 2,900+ unique daily players with IAP revenue of $200+ last August. Thank you to all our players!

6. SparkPoint SRK New All Time High
Last August 5, SRK registered another new ATH on CoinMarketCap at $0.002939 per token. This was mostly driven by our pivot and focus towards DeFi or Decentralized Finance. Our DeFi staking platform, SparkDeFi is currently under development and being tested on Ropsten. Mainnet launch is scheduled in early October to coincide with our 2nd anniversary. We might see yet another ATH soon!
7. Adding SRK-ETH Liquidity in Uniswap Tutorial
I’m writing a series of tutorials that will discuss, in simple terms, how to use our DeFi platform. I published the first in this series last month which is How to Add Liquidity to SRK-ETH Pair in Uniswap. Next articles will be about removing liquidity and staking in our SparkDeFi platform.
8. New Exchange Listing: STEX.com
We’re now listed in another high quality centralized exchange. STEX is currently ranked #62 on CoinMarketCap with 24h volume of $24M.
9. New Exchange Listing: ViteX
We’re listed on yet another great exchange. A total of three new exchanges just in August. ViteX is smaller than other exchanges but has a dedicated community behind it. Andy and I did a short but fun AMA session with them last week and it was a blast. We’re posting an excerpt with the highlights of the AMA this week.
10. Wish FM 107.5 Benefit Concert Sponsorship
We sponsored Wish FM 107.5’s 6th Anniversary digital concert. The benefit concert had a great cause behind it. It was aimed at helping deserving Filipino students gain access to online education by donating 100 tablets to aid in the upcoming blended/distance learning “new normal” system.
SparkPoint has always been committed to education from the very beginning and this was another great way for us to give back to the community. In addition to this, we’ve also launched our first course on SparkLearn last month.
11. SparkLearn Exclusive First Course Launch
Our first ever course on SparkLearn, Cryptocurrency 101: Buy, Sell and Trade for Beginners, is now available! We’re grateful to JRNY Crypto for sharing his knowledge in cryptocurrency and for his strong support of SparkPoint and its community. 12. Two New Senior Members Added to the Team
We hired two new senior marketing specialists last month and they just started this September. Carl Andre will lead SparkPoint’s ongoing campaigns across all our products and services. While Melissa, with her strong background in both education as a university instructor as well as marketing experience will help us manage and grow our SparkLearn E-learning platform.
13. SparkDeFi Development and Testnet Launch
And now for our last but most important update of August. Research and development for our SparkDeFi platform has started last month. We’ve decided to try a more careful and conservative approach to avoid similar fates as $YAM’s.
We’ve launched a contract based on Ampleforth’s Token Geyser contract. We’re also updating it to Beehive 2.0 this month. For now, the interface is via Etherscan’s Dapp browser. Our custom web interface is now under development and will be launching at the end of the month. Mainnet launch is planned in early October.

That’s it for our August updates. Our team is proud to have delivered these updates despite the couple of long weekends last month (or these extra holiday breaks may have helped boost our productivity!). Either way, we’re very bullish September and October will be even bigger months.
