SparkPoint Updates #12: September 2020
It’s a new month and it’s time again for us to revisit our accomplishments in the previous month. Let’s take a look at 12 accomplishments from September for this 12th update. This is a great start for the last quarter of this year!
1. Ask Me Anything Session with ViteX
ViteX, one of our newest exchanges, invited us for an Ask Me Anything session with their community in their Telegram channel. The AMA gave us the opportunity to discuss our plans for SparkPoint. It also allowed us to answer pertinent questions from the community about our products. We’re always happy to interact and cultivate a closer relationship with our community. 2. Crypto Burst and Giveaway Rewards Sent
We’ve sent the SRK rewards to our Crypto Burst players who’ve completed levels 25, 50, 75, and 100. BitMart Token (BMX) rewards will be sent this month too. We’ve also sent the prizes to our Instagram AR filter giveaway participants. Congratulations to everyone and thank you for your support!
We want to reduce barriers to entry and make it easier for our community to participate in our events so we’re transitioning to “no KYC required” giveaways and contests. Follow our Twitter and subscribe to our notifications to be the first to hear about our upcoming contests and promos.

3. SparkPoint Wallet 10,000+ Downloads
We hit another milestone for our flagship app. 10,000+ total downloads for our SparkPoint Wallet. Thank you to everyone who downloaded, we appreciate your support! We’re continuously improving the app and fixing issues to give you the best experience.

4. 20 New Crypto Burst Levels
We’ve added 20 new challenging and fun levels to Crypto Burst. We’re continuously adding new levels each month to keep the game fresh and interesting. Also watch out for our next level challenges to earn some SRK rewards. Always stay tuned on our Twitter account.

5. Attended TBI 4.0 Virtual Conference
As one of the incubatees under DOST’s Technology Business Incubation (TBI) program, we were invited to join the exclusive TBI 4.0 Virtual Conference. This was a 4-day webinar where we learned valuable insights from experts from the local innovation and tech startup industries. We‘ll definitely apply the knowledge we gained from the event to our everyday operations at SparkPoint. Thank you to SILI-DELI, our local TBI operator, for this opportunity!
6. Two New Devs Added to the Team
Our development team is growing! We hired two new full-stack developers to work full-time on our SparkDeFi platform. Ian is a close friend and classmate in highschool and college. We’ve also worked together in one of my early startups so I’m confident he can help us deliver our DeFi products. Koji is a promising young developer who we’re currently training to handle smart contracts on both Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain.
Right now our team has seven full-time developers (including me) and we’re looking to grow more in the coming months. This will enable us to continuously improve the quality and accelerate the delivery of our products.
7. Launched Investing 101 Course on SparkLearn
We’re proud to launch our second exclusive course, Investing 101, brought to us by my better half. Quennie or Kwin for short, is a training specialist and was a certified General Securities Representative, Registered Options Principal, and General Securities Principal under FINRA before she transitioned into banking.

8. Launched Crypto Shooter Early Access
We’ve launched an early access preview of our latest game, Crypto Shooter. Crypto Shooter is based on the very famous “bubble shooting” genre. Similar games on the Google Play Store have 100M+ downloads. We’re hoping to do well in this crowded space too by differentiating and innovating with cryptocurrency rewards.
This is also the debut of our mascot, Sparky the Sparrow. Sparky represents SparkPoint’s ambitions to soar high as a company in the cryptocurrency and blockchain industry. We’ll see more of Sparky in our marketing posters and upcoming games.
Our game concepts from now on will always involve and promote Sparky. We’re hoping Sparky becomes a popular character in the near future and opens up new opportunities for SparkPoint like merchandising, NFTs, media, and other promotional activities.

9. Launched SparkPoint Wallet with Uniswap
Our latest 4.0.0 update to our SparkPoint cryptocurrency wallet now supports Uniswap via WalletConnect. This update targets the 10,000+ downloaders of our wallet and gives them direct access to Uniswap’s DeFi solutions. Our mobile dev team is continuously improving and refining our wallet in preparation for our SparkDeFi platform support and integration on mobile.
This approach will also leverage our existing wallet users. There are currently almost 4K users who have installed our wallet on “at least one device that has been turned on in the last 30 days” according to our Google Play Console stats. We definitely want to reach out to this active set of users as ready market for SparkDeFi mobile soon.

10. Q3 2020 Token Buy Back and Burn
We’ve burned a total of 53,112,315 SRK tokens for the last quarter’s Token Buy Back and Burn event. We’ve now reduced the total supply down to 14,368,540,937 SRK. Our company’s goal is to reduce the total supply down to 10B SRK tokens. See you in the next quarterly Buy Back and Burn event in December 2020!

11. SparkDeFi srk.finance Website Launch
We’ve launched our SparkDeFi website at srk.finance. This early preview will give our users an idea of what SparkDeFi can offer them. The website will be updated soon with information about our Staking, Roadmap, and the upcoming SFUEL governance token.

12. SparkDeFi Development and Binance Smart Chain
Development has started last month and we’ve allocated five devs to work full-time on SparkDeFi. Most of the early work involved experimentation, training, learning, and early tests. Now, our team is ready to deliver.
SparkDeFi’s Liquidity Staking will launch first on Ethereum this month while the other solutions like P2P Lending, DEX, and SFUEL will launch on Binance Smart Chain at a later date. Staking will also be mirrored on BSC and a possible token migration is being considered.
We’ve also submitted our proposal to Binance for possible funding. Regardless of the outcome of this application, we’re already pushing through with launching SparkDeFi on BSC.
That’s it for our 12 updates for this 12th update for September. Our second anniversary is coming up soon this October 5. We’re always bullish when it’s our company’s anniversary month. Our team is working tirelessly to bring our latest innovation, SparkDeFi, to market this month. Let’s go Sparkies!
