We started gradually recovering from the blackout and other damages caused by the two strong typhoons that battered our region in October. Our team temporarily relocated to our favorite co-working space, Ctrl Alt Work, so that our work will not be interrupted by the power outage and internet connection issues caused by the typhoons. This was a big help to enable us to accomplish all our targets last month!

Our November 2020 Targets

Let’s take a look at 10 of our biggest updates in November.

TL;DR

  1. CryptoDiffer AMA
  2. Filipino Translation of Binance Smart Chain White Paper
  3. Crypto Slicer Tournament 4 Sponsored by Hydro
  4. SFUEL Private Sale Concluded
  5. SparkDeFi White Paper
  6. SRK-USDT Pair Launched on P2PB2B
  7. Development/Porting of iOS Apps and Games
  8. BitMart SRK Lending and Net Buying Competition
  9. New SparkLearn Course: DAO 101 for Beginners

1. CryptoDiffer AMA

A good way to start the month is to have an interesting interaction with an enthusiastic community like CryptoDiffer. We’re happy and grateful for another opportunity to engage with the community. Stay tuned for a recap of our past AMAs in a Medium article coming out in the next few weeks.

2. Binance Smart Chain White Paper Translation

Via Binance.com Blog

As part of my application for the Binance Evangelist role, I was tasked to translate the Binance Smart Chain white paper to the Filipino language. We’re also in talks with Binance reps for a slice of the $100M Support Fund for DeFi Projects on Binance Smart Chain. We’re launching SRK-BNB liquidity staking on BSC this month and also generating the SFUEL tokens on BSC so watch out for these two major updates!

3. Crypto Slicer Tournament 4 Sponsored by Hydro

We’ve started our 4th Crypto Slicer tournament sponsored by Project Hydro. The total prize pool includes 1M SRK plus 1M HYDRO tokens. The top 5 players will also receive Crypto Slicer NFTs. The tournament is still ongoing and will end on December 15 so you still have plenty of time to join!

Download and play Crypto Slicer.

4. SFUEL Private Sale Concluded

We’ve concluded our month-long SFUEL Private Sale and was able to raise 449 ETH (currently $266K+), 125M+ in SRK ($99K+), 90K+ in USDT, USDC, and BUSDT. We’ve also reserved another $400K worth of SFUEL for ongoing VC and angel funding. Unsold tokens will be burned.

5. SparkDeFi White Paper

We’ve released an early version of SparkDeFi White Paper on GitHub. It is continuously being improved and updated. Third-party participation is highly encouraged. You can send suggestions and improvements via a GitHub Pull Request. Translators are also welcome.

6. SRK-USDT Pair Launched on P2PB2B

We’ve launched an SRK-USDT pair on P2PB2B for improved liquidity and more accurate pricing against the US Dollar. We’re also launching this month in another major exchange so watch out for that.

7. Development/Porting of iOS Apps and Games

Our team has now officially started porting our apps to iOS starting with our SparkPoint Cryptocurrency Wallet. The porting is being spearheaded by one of our senior developers, Ian, together with our lead mobile developer, Harvey. We’re looking at the launch of our wallet on iOS within Q1 of next year.

8. BitMart SRK Lending and Net Buying Competition

Via BitMart Announcements

We’ve joined with one of our most supportive partners for their thanksgiving trading carnival to launch a net buying competition and lending. The lending opportunity with a 5M SRK reward has been 100% subscribed already in less than 2 days. As for the net buying competition, you still have 2 days left before it ends so join now for a chance to win up to 1,350,000 SRK (~$1,050).

9. New SparkLearn Course: DAO 101 for Beginners

We’ve launched our fourth exclusive course on SparkLearn, DAO 101 for Beginners. The course was created by our senior marketing specialist and trainer, Melissa Mesias. This course will be helpful in understanding how our SFUEL token will work in the future within the collective SparkDeFi and SparkPoint ecosystems. Watch out for more exclusive courses soon!

10. SparkDeFi SRK-ETH Liquidity Staking on Mainnet

And last but definitely not least, in fact, this is our biggest update so far in 2020, SparkDeFi Liquidity Staking! After months of development and testing, we’ve finally launched our SparkDeFi SRK-ETH Liquidity Staking contract and web app on Ethereum Mainnet.

So far we’ve breached the $130K Total Liquidity on Uniswap, our new All-Time High in terms of liquidity on the DEX platform. As of this writing, a total of 58,155.16 SRK-ETH UNI-V2 tokens have been staked in our SparkDeFi Staking platform equivalent to an estimated Total Value Locked of $102,628.81.

32M SRK tokens (~$24,800) have been allocated as rewards for stakers and will automatically vest linearly every day for 60 days from the launch of the contract. Stakers will be rewarded pro-rata to the amount they staked and can claim their rewards anytime or withdraw their stake entirely if they so choose.

Watch out for a detailed tutorial on SparkDeFi Staking coming out next week!
