SparkPoint Team continues to expand its horizons! The last month of Q3 has been a busy one for the team — with product developments and building new connections outside the online world. Some members attended a premier crypto event, TOKEN2049 in Singapore last September 28–29, and a new strategic partnership with the Travel Care has been announced. In addition, the new user interface for SparkSwap DEX went live and we’ve also successfully launched the quarterly SFUEL Airdrop, SRK Token Burn, new twitter space episodes, and attended some IRL events to educate and meet with new people.

Now, let’s get on with all the accomplishments and updates we had for you Sparkies!

TL;DR

1. Anito Legends launched their LARO Token IDO Sale on SparkLaunch

Anito Legends, LARO token IDO Sale went live on SparkLaunch last August 30, 2022. And after the two rounds of token sale, it ended successfully on September 1, 2022. The claiming of tokens will be enabled once LARO tokens are available to distribute.

2. Bicol IT Tech Meetup

On September 3, the BicolIT held a tech meetup at the SparkPoint Headquarters. The event was designed to gather developers, IT Students and enthusiasts to learn from the experts on Blockchain Technology and to discuss the organization’s plan on integrating this disruptive technology to various use cases, and their membership benefits.

At the meetup, Chief Operating Officer of SparkPoint, Kristine Ibañez introduced the newest services that SparkPoint offers under SparkTech. SparkLearn EdTech and Ownly team members were also in attendance to present their projects.

The upcoming Bicol Blockchain Conference this November, was briefly discussed too. BBC is an event in collaboration with SparkPoint, Ownly, Bicol IT, SparkLearn EdTech, and MetaGaming Guild. Other partners will be revealed soon!

3. New #SparkySpace Episodes on Twitter Space

Our second episode of the #SparkySpace Series on Twitter Space was all about Blockchain Education! We invited Ms. Melissa Mesias, the CEO of SparkLearn EdTech together with their CTO Harvey Javier, to talk about their ongoing Blockchain Developers Bootcamp — on how they are mentoring the students, the opportunities that await after finishing the program, and why should anyone join this bootcamp!

While the 3rd episode happened to join the celebration of the NFT Day. The hosts had a short fireside chat where there was an exchange of thoughts towards the hottest headlines about NFT and Metaverse!

4. CMO Drei at the 2022 UnionBank Innovation Festival

Our CMO Drei, was out of the town to attend the 2022 Unionbank Innovation Festival. He joined leaders coming from the field of FinTech, Banking and Blockchain Technology to witness various cutting-edge digital solutions and industry-first applications Union Bank of the Philippines.

The CMO also attended the inauguration of the UnionBank’s Innovation Campus, a modern workspace and learning environment intended to be the launchpad for innovative solutions.

5. SparkPoint and Travel Care Partnership Announced! SRK Token Payments now accepted

We are thrilled to announce the new partnership formed with Travel Care! Travel care is a travel agency platform that uses Web3 technology and accepts crypto payments. They offer flights on more than 600 airlines and accommodation in more than 500,000 hotels worldwide.

In lieu of this partnership, SRK got listed on the platform and is now accepted as payments for any travel and hotel bookings worldwide!

6. SparkPoint members attended the TOKEN2049 in Singapore!

The leaders of SparkPoint together with the affiliates, travelled to Singapore to participate in the TOKEN2049. An annual conference where the founders and executives of leading Web3 companies share their insights on the market. The event brings together the global crypto industry, entrepreneurs, investors, developers, industry enthusiasts, and global media, to create networking opportunities.

SparkPoint members include Drei Bongalos (CMO) and Tin Ibañez (COO) and they were joined by SparkLearn EdTech’s CEO, Melissa Mesias and CTO Harvey Javier; and Ownly CEO, Ismael Jerusalem. All of them were loud and proud to represent the builders from the South of the Metro, Bicol Region, Philippines.

7. A new User Interface for SparkSwap DEX is here!

A faster and better UI for SparkSwap DEX unveiled. The new user interface makes it easier for the users to trade and navigate through the web app.

The development for SparkSwap DEX doesn’t end here, we still have lots of new features to release so make sure you stay in the loop!

8. Q3 SFUEL Airdrop went live

The Q3 wouldn’t be complete without the SFUEL Airdrop for the community! And the self-claiming of the SFUEL tokens has been activated already! Thus, all the eligible SRK and SRKb holders, stakers and liquidity providers can now claim their rewards on the SparkRewards page.

9. 100M SRK Tokens Burned during the quarterly SRKBBnB

The quarterly SRKBBnB has resulted in a total of 100M SRK tokens burned! This means we have reduced once again the total supply of SRK and has narrowed down to 13,344,612,245. We will continue to do series of SRKBBnB until we hit the 10 Billion goal supply.

10. SparkLearn EdTech Version 2.0 has launched!

As SparkLearn launched its second Blockchain Developers Bootcamp last September 5, they have also upgraded their MOOC platform to serve their students a seamless EdTech learning experience.

11. SparkPoint Gold Sponsorship for Albay Multimedia Arts Conference 2022

SparkPoint has officially announced its support to the Albay Multimedia Arts Conference a.k.a AMAC PH 2022. AMAC is the biggest gathering held annually to celebrate the creativity and show appreciation for artists and creative entrepreneurs.

This year’s focus is about exploring the intersection of art and tech through NFTs. The event is organized by Ownly and supported by various start-up companies like SparkPoint, MetaGaming Guild, SparkLearn, CoinEx, BlockcTides, BitPinas and WACOM.
