A group called “Canada Decides” (which is itself of admittedly suspicious credibility) is alleging that millions in foreign funding was funneled to third party groups, which in turn helped decide the election. 114 third parties spent $6 million during the 2015 campaign. Many of these groups were funded by a California-and New York-based organization called Tides Foundation. Another organization, Leadnow, led a foreign-funded campaign which saw their targeting efforts result in a successful election for 26 of the 29 campaigners they represented.
