A young man walks in disguise,

Hiding his true self from prying eyes,

He roams the streets, lost and alone,

With a heavy heart and a heart of stone.

His dreams are big, his hopes are high,

But life has taught him to just get by,

He wears a mask, a facade to show,

Hiding his pain, not letting it flow.

He struggles with love, with trust and faith,

Wondering if anyone would take his wraith,

His heart is broken, his soul is torn,

Trying to find a way to be reborn.

He tries to find solace in work and play,

But it seems like his troubles are here to stay,

The world is cruel, he says to himself,

He wants to break free, to be someone else.

But deep inside, he knows the truth,

That life is tough, but it’s not uncouth,

He takes a deep breath, he takes a chance,

To live his life, to start a new dance.

He sheds his disguise, he shows his face,

To the world he’ll go, to find his place,

His heart is light, his soul is free,

Finally, he’s the man he’s meant to be.

So to all the young men out there,

Who are lost and in despair,

Take off your mask, and let it show,

You’ll find your way, just let it flow.
