Here in the UK, we don’t get sunlight very often. However when we do, we certainly like to shout about it.

London, being the Capital city, will soak in most of the plaudits. The Evening Standard in particular appears to have the template locked down. Spain, Turkey and Greece seem to get the brunt of the comparisons.

The Daily Mail is not one to be left out of bragging about how much better we are than everyone else at something.

Things get really serious when we get hotter than the Arab nations.

Sometimes we’re just all out hotter than the *entire* world.

Can you BELIEVE it…GREECE!

Hot weather is good. Hot weather on a Bank Holiday is like winning the lottery.

Havoc = some trains were delayed.

“Blighty” is a term for Britain that tends to be more frequently reserved for these sorts of articles.

Naturally, the hot weather is ripe for the age-old British tradition of dashing to the nearest supermarket for barbecue gear.

I hope people in Ibiza have daily articles telling them how to survive…
