I don’t call myself a creative. I believe I simply use imaginative ways to live every day, from exercise to writing out a business report.

My preferred avenue of expression is painting, particularly abstract realism. I plan to pursue this further for myself and provide a platform, Murado Imani, for others in the industry to exhibit their work to the world.

I love painting because of its cathartic qualities. One painting can bring up different feelings in everyone, that’s the beauty of uniqueness. I came up with Murado Imani as a portfolio for my paintings and eventually other forms of expression.

My hopes and plans are for true artistry to come from Nigeria and affects the culture in Africa and around the world.

What industry would you be interested in collaborating with and why?

I would love to work with a stage designer as an artist, sounds a bit but I love the concept of temporary creation. I think because it’s temporary it can allow you to create something as far as your mind possibly can while also being able to capture an audience. Its very in-the-moment art.
