Hey guys! We are the gluttonies, this time we are going to take you guys to Taste of Shanghai!

A short briefing on century egg. So, what is century egg? It is stored in 100 years? Isn’t it spoiled? Well, an insight based on an asian view; century egg is a method of preserving the egg without it spoiling. It is usually used with chicken egg covered in clay, ash, salt, quicklime, and rice hulls. The process cure the egg and make it taste creamier and a hint of saltiness. There are other names other than century egg as well, millennium egg, thousand-year egg, hundred-year egg. Whatever name it is, try it and you will not regret.

The ways of enjoying century egg is endless. You can deep fried them in batter, slice them and mix in with porridge, or serve with chilled tofu! Which bring us back to today’s main topic.
