Flying noodle?! Duck egg?
Hey guys! We are the gluttonies, this time we are going to take you guys to Ho Jiak @ Strathfield Plaza!
A brief explanation of the place name Ho Jiak, Ho Jiak can be derived from Teochew or Hokkien, a chinese dialect. Ho means good, Jiak mean eat; in combination mean good eat or delicious.
Back to the title, flying noodle? This is a strange and absurd name, but patience my padawan i shall reveal the picture of it and the secret shall be remained a mystery.
I first came across flying noodle concept back in Singapore where it was a ‘hype’ thing to eat a flying noodle. However when i moved to Sydney, i re-discovered the existence of flying noodle and i am super tempted to try them out.
I am having this for the first time and i am as astonished as i can be. This place turns out to be as authentic as it claims, the flavour is powering but yet not over the top. The flying noodle selfie is….

Noticed how many ingredients there are and let me reveal it to you:
Fish cakes, salted egg yolk fried with butter and curry leaves, chilies (mild), prawns, vegetables, noodles (blah), sweet sauce and sunny side up.
The overall flavour is very unique and very impressive given the outlook of the noodles, it taste just great and will leave you tempter for more. The sweet from sweet soy sauce, the saltiness and fragrance from salted egg yolk mixed with butter and curry leaves, the flavour of the ocean from fresh prawns and fish cakes, and the right bite from the noodles come with a light punch of spice.
