Actor Ben Affleck, best known for his roles in “Good Will Hunting” and “Argo,” has recently apologized for allegedly groping “One Tree Hill” and FOX’s “Lethal Weapon” star Hilarie Burton back in 2003 when Burton was a “TRL” host.

The story came back into the public eye after Affleck joined a growing list of other famous actors being ousted, which was initially sparked by the sexual harassment claims levied against American film producer and former film studio executive Harvey Weinstein.

Shanice Brim, a writer and author at Saint Heron, tweeted on Monday that Affleck once grabbed Burton’s breasts on TRL, noting that everyone has seem to have forgotten the incident since.

Burton then replied on Monday that she did not forget and thanked Brim for bringing this incident back into the spotlight.

Affleck later apologized for his past actions when he tweeted the next day that what he did to Burton was wrong and that he sincerely apologizes. Burton and Brim did not reply to Affleck’s apology.

No further word yet if this subject is being further investigated. Burton and her actor-husband Jeffrey Dean Morgan, famous for playing Neegan on “The Walking Dead,” still reside in Rhinebeck, NY.
