We all know that Thanksgiving is a time for seeing family, looking back on the past year, and being thankful for what we have. For me personally, as much as I love my family, the main thing I look forward to is the food. We always pull out all the stops for our Thanksgiving feast, as I’m sure most families do. Here are just a few pictures of the process of setting up Thanksgiving dinner, for those of you who have fervently stayed out of the kitchen in the past.

Boiling carrots…yes, we could use baby carrots and make our lives easier, but this tastes WAY better
Turnip (not sweet potatoes)
Actual sweet potatoes, getting covered in brown sugar to become sweet potato casserole
(L) turnip, (R) sweet potato casserole, the finished products
Broccoli casserole in the making- broccoli, Velveeta, Ritz cracker crumbs. It’s the little things in life.
Finished broccoli casserole
This year’s signature drink- Festive Holiday Sangria

Send The Groundhog pictures of your favorite part of Thanksgiving dinner (or the remnants thereof.) Happy Thanksgiving from The Groundhog!
