The lobby is quiet. Classical music is the only thing that can be heard . The lady at the front desk yawns and continues checking her computer. A little while longer and she goes to the back, behind the front desk to eat her lunch. As you enter one of the lounge areas, FOX News is on the TV. They are discussing President Trump’s new Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch. Employees of the hotel are walking back and forth throughout the hallways, discussing their plans for the day. An elderly couple swims laps in the pool. Marist students load a van that takes them to campus for class.

The hotel houses around 100 Marist students as well as visitors trying to get the Hudson Valley experience. Located on South Road in the Town of Poughkeepsie the hotel is surrounded by resteraunts and coffee shops, all within walking distance. Red Robin, Five Guys, Hoopla, Table Talk Diner, Starbucks—to name a few. You’ll never go hungry while staying here, thats for sure. Despite the cold, and the snow, people can be seen walking back and forth from the hotel to Starbucks and Table Talk Diner. The people here are friendly and want to make sure your stay here is comfortable. The environment is warm and inviting. It makes you feel at home.
