The remains of a woman who was found in a wooded area in Dedham, Massachusetts earlier this month have finally been identified. The medical examiner in Dedham used dental records to help identify Susan Anyanwu-Corbin, whose skeletal remains were found on April 4, 2017, by a man who was taking a walk on High Street. Anyanwu-Corbin was found in a Marist College sweatshirt, a bracelet with the word “peace” engraved in it, and a ring.

What We Know.

A family member of Anyanwu-Corbin reported her missing back in February of 2016. According to CBS Boston, police are still investigating the case and returned to the wooded area, where Anyanwu-Corbin was found, two weeks ago to search for more evidence. Anyanwu-Corbin and her family moved from Nigeria to the United States, where they resided in Boston. Anwaynu-Corbin worked in retail during her time in the United States.

This is an On-Going Investigation.

According to the Norfolk District Attorney’s spokesman, David Traub, “It’s still under investigation. The Dedham Police Department are continuing to interview people who knew her [Anyanwu-Corbin], and there has been no public statement about any person of interest.”

The cause of death is still being determined by the medical examiner, according to Traub. As for the Marist College sweatshirt, so far in the investigation there is no connection to Anyanwu-Corbin and the school.
