For many years people have wondered about some on the changes in the word, music is just one of these changes but it may be one of the more important topics because some studies have shown that while listening to music can cause persons to get more energetic and can be used as a source of entertainment, it has also be shown to have an effect on how people dress, act, talk, and learn; Moreover these are just some of the minor thing because deeper studies have shown that Studies have shown that music has an direct effect of the mood someone can be in and can determine how this can affect the learning ability of the brain.

Some types of music can calm the nerves and make it easier for persons to learn because they feel more comfortable so they are open to what they are being taught, this study is called The Mozart effect. This states that music such as Mozart and others of it’s kind meaning soft music that can makes can make a person feel better about themselves therefore making them feel more comfortable in their environment which will make their work much better.

Investigations into neuroscience relating to the Mozart effect have shown that the brain of musicians have been trained to recognize music from noise; Furthermore the tests have shown that music can improve the comprehension, memory, speech, attention and vocal emotions as stated in the Journal of the Royal Society (JRSM) “normal subjects showed significantly better spatial reasoning skills than after periods of listening to relaxation instructions designed to lower blood pressure or silence” or even in the April 2001 study where John Jenkins played Sonata K.448 to patients with epilepsy and found a decrease in epileptiform activity.

Moreover, music and any forms of sounds from a tender age for a child is better because it will help them to learn faster simply because they have not started to use their brain compared to someone who is in high school or working; However not every music is deemed beneficial to the brain or to learning itself, some music are just used as distraction such as fast metallic music such as: rap, rock and roll etc.

These type of music though they do not help with learning the help in other areas such as sports, they help the brain to release adrenaline to the so that a person can be pumped up before they have actually started to do anything so it will be easier to accomplish whatever task they were going to do; Furthermore, the type of music a person listen to can have an effect on their behaviour towards both their work and other individuals they interact with, as stated by writer Kevin C. Liljequist, “teenagers become absorbed in songs they believe help better define them during their rocky transition into adulthood” in the article Does Music and Lyrical Content Influence Human Behavior?

All these researches even though they have different points of views and reasoning, they all come back to the same point that classic soft music helps both the mind and the body to be more relaxed which will make learning easier, in the article Music and its effects upon behaviour published by dunkin shillan states that “that while heavy metal fans tended to have lower grades in school, they experienced these before listening to heavy metal music, and Walker & Kreiner, (2006) found that college students who listened to alternative music actually scored higher on IQ tests, especially where abstraction was required”;Moreover, music from even before our time have proven to activate all parts of the brain to make people happier no matter what age they are, it makes people feel more at home when they are able to listen their traditional music no matter where they are, most people when they hear a form of music they might like it or they might find it annoying because everyone doesn’t have the same taste or style in music this can make the effect of music vary for one person to another. A song that has a positive effect on one person may have the opposite effect on another person by making them feel annoyed or even sad depending on what type of song it is, For Example, some song may not be offensive to one person but at the sametime it can be offensive to the other person’s that are hearing it, so being aware of the audience you’re playing fro is important because learning isn’t a process that someone ever stops doing and everyone learns at a different rate, but by increasing the rate at which each person learn at wouldn’t just be good for them but it would do good for the whole community and even state because schools would be letting smarter and more advanced and capable men and women into the world.

Scientist have determined that the brain is the greatest computer that has ever been built, yet they have determined that only ten percent (10%) of the brain is being used; Moreover, these scientist are these same ones that are inventing the advanced technology in society that everyone is using, but if there were a way to increase technology even faster would increase job opportunities because they would need more workers which would help to put more people into jobs and off the streets.

Alongside technology, music has been one of the only things that have been evolving as fast, almost every decade there has been a change in music, most people from the 80’s aren’t use to the music accustomed to the music that have been invented in the 20’s, because people are always finding different ways to to express themselves and most times this is in music, people who are more calm and who like the silents would mostly be accustomed to classic music while other persons who are the opposite would be more into music that involves fast movement, things like this can help to determine the rate at which someone is learning because the brain gets use to a certain type of signals and if those signals are changed then it can be difficult for some people to work; For eg, one person may be use to the noise so it doesn’t affect their learning while someone who is use to the silents way have difficulties in the same conditions and vice versa, so in concluding I think techniques such as these in which music is played softly in classes are use to try to help students to learn faster thus creating a pathway for the new future.
