Clearwater, Florida: The Best Destination for Spring Break

Everybody knows that Florida is the place to be when spring break hits. Most people think Miami or Fort Lauderdale, but they are wrong. Miami and Fort Lauderdale get overrun with garbage, traffic, and free-spirited wanderers. The sale of “Spring Break in Miami’’ is overrated, overcrowded, and overpriced.

The best place to go is Clearwater. Clearwater is the perfect destination for you and your friends to spend spring break. The reason Clearwater is so much better is the same reason you don’t want to be in Miami or Fort Lauderdale. Clearwater is clean, calm, and affordable. The best thing about Clearwater for spring break is that there is a social scene, while also having getaway beaches where you can go for a quiet day in the water.

Just a few minutes down the road, John’s Pass has quiet beaches and lots of things to do. There is also a state-of-the-art mini golf course that is the perfect spring break activity. You can even feed alligators!

If you’re feeling like seeing some ocean life, dolphin tours are offered throughout the whole day. You can also book a deep-sea fishing boat, and be escorted out to catch all types of unique Floridian fish. Clearwater has lots of cool attractions to see ocean life, but the Clearwater Marine Aquarium is not one of them. Don’t get me wrong, Clearwater is the place to be, but don’t waste your time with the aquarium. It is small and does not amount to the same level of excitement you will find in other places.

Get away from the chaos this spring break and spend your time in Clearwater for the perfect balance of social and private fun.
