Console Wars: Why PlayStation Reigns Supreme

The debate on whether PlayStation or Xbox is better has been around since Sony and Microsoft first dropped the consoles in ’94 and ’01 respectively. The two fan bases are perpetually at war with each other over which console is on top. I have gotten into many heated arguments over this and am here to set the record straight once and for all:There should be zero question in anyone’s mind that PlayStation is and will always be better than Xbox. The design, controllers, exclusive games, and even just the overall vibes of a PlayStation beat out Xbox’s.
Design
The PS5 has an elegant, streamlined design that looks like something you might find on an alien spaceship. The two-tone colors are extremely attractive to look at. On the other hand, the Xbox Series X looks like it was designed by an uninspired teenager. It’s a boring black black box with no personality. There’s no heart or soul in the design of the Series X.
Exclusives
Both consoles have lots of exclusive games that the other fan base secretly wants to play. The Xbox has Microsoft Flight Simulator, the Halo collection, Forza, Sea Of Thieves, and Starfield. While these are all high caliber games, they do not compare to PlayStation’s collection. PlayStation has God of War and God of War: Ragnarok, Spider-Man 1 and 2, Ghost of Tsushima, the Uncharted franchise, the Last Of Us, and most recently HellDivers 2. The only argument that Xbox players have for better exclusives is really just the Halo series, and that’s it.
Controllers
Up until the drop of the ps5, the Xbox was ahead with the design of its controller. It was bigger than the PlayStation controllers, which made it more comfortable to play with. The PS5 brought a new and improved dual sense controller which makes gameplay so much easier. Xbox has used the same controller design since it came out. The new dual sense controller tops the Xbox controller for two reasons, it looks way better, and the placement of the left joystick makes so much more sense on the PS5 controller. Why do you want to strain your left thumb the entire time you are playing a game?
We put a poll out on instagram to see which console people thought were better and I am so disappointed at how wrong some of you are. Also, not going to name names, but the person who only answered Xbox because I tried to get your husband to get a PlayStation, you are so wrong for that and I am very disappointed. I thought you were better than that. You know you actually hate his Xbox just as much as I do.
PlayStation is the superior console and will always be better until the end of time. It is better in this universe, and every other universe, known or unknown. If you disagree, then you’re wrong, but if you have a valid argument as to why Xbox might be better, drop it in the comments.
