Many of you may have noticed that Buena Vista does not collect recycling. The city currently only collects trash and waste, but does not give us the option to put recyclable materials in a system where they can be reused. There are some options that are available to us here in Rockbridge County, but an extra effort must be made. The city lacks a recycling program that comes to your door. If you are wanting to feel like your used materials are not going to waste, here is a website that includes many locations where you can recycle different items in Rockbridge County.

In order to help clean the earth and make it beautiful, we must first start by doing something where we live. In order to maintain the beauty of Buena Vista, we can help by recycling items that we would otherwise throw away. Be sure to find a place in the area where you can recycle and have a positive impact on the environment and the community!
