Jacob Zollinger — or “PK” by his teammates — is a business major, a member of the SVU lacrosse team and social media photographer for the school. He stays involved with other social events around campus by filming and working for the university.

On the lacrosse field, Jacob plays close defense and is seen as a leader by his peers on defense. Last season, he wasn’t able to play due to injury, his shin splints took a turn for the worst, but his hopes are to return to the field this spring as the Knights look to win another conference championship.

In his spare time, Zollinger often finds himself on the field regardless if he’s playing or not. As a videographer for the University, he is privileged to connect with the other teams on campus by giving them their own highlight reels and media days, https://www.instagram.com/reel/CxY5h0qunlt/?igsh=MTlqaTl3cG83cDFv. His work displays a keen eye for detail and a remarkable talent for transforming raw footage into polished, engaging content many of which you’ve probably seen,

When I asked Zollinger what his favorite team to watch was, he simply stated, “Any team that’s winning. It’s fun to watch a team celebrate and connect with each other. When they’re having fun, I am too.”

I was curious how Zollinger got to be so good at creating edits and when does he have time to make them in lacrosse season. When asked about his media edits, Zollinger said, “I do most of my work in the fall semester, outside of lacrosse season, as my main focus outside of school goes to that…. For filming, it’s just like any other skill — the more you practice the better you will get.”
