Knights Against Procrastination This Wednesday in Preparation for Finals
By Cailin Hale
In preparation for upcoming finals, Southern Virginia’s Writing Center is hosting Knights Against Procrastination on Wed. April 17th. This event will be held from 5 pm to midnight in the Ballroom primarily, but there will also be various rooms around in Main Hall dedicated for silent study, such as the Stonemetz room.
Knights Against Procrastination is a dedicated time and place to get work done, as all of the Writing Center tutors will be there, along with tutors in mathematics, chemistry, Greek, Spanish, Latin, and philosophy that will periodically come in throughout the night to help out with whatever is needed. Professor Lambert, the head of the Writing Center, will also be there to assist where necessary.
Knights Against Procrastination is more than just a place to study— snacks and prizes are offered to all who come. If you come and sign in, you’re put into the drawing for some prizes, which happens around 10 or 11 in the evening. Lots of snack foods are provided for people to eat while they work. Knights Against Procrastination is a chance to get work done before finals while still having a good time.
