Since spring began the Knights have fared pretty well for both men’s and women’s teams. Recently, three Southern Virginia athletes were named Capital Athletic Conference athletes of the week. These include Baylee Mulitalo and Derek Blasko on the track team, and Kukutla Motlojoa on the men’s tennis team.

The men’s tennis team has been off to a very hot start overall. They sit at 7–1, with all of their wins being by at least three sets. Their only loss on the season came this week against nationally ranked #13 Mary Washington.

Men’s baseball has been maintaining their positive record since the beginning of the season; since spring break the team has gone 4–4, but maintained their overall record at 9–6. The team has yet to enter conference play but will do so in the coming days against York College in Pennsylvania.

Men’s lacrosse sits at 5–6, going 2–3 over spring break. They began conference play this week against #14 ranked Christopher Newport. On March 30th they will play their second conference game against St. Mary’s at home.

Like most teams, women’s tennis is about to enter conference play in pretty good shape, sitting at 9–2, their only losses on the season coming from Wooster and #19 Mary Washington.
