The Launch Center Is Here!

After being announced in October 2023, the Launch Center of Career Development — or the Launch Center — is finally open. Located in Main Hall 329, the Launch Center (formerly the Career Center) is a student-run initiative to help students prepare for life after college, whether it’s grad school or the workforce. Professor Jared Covington was named director of the Launch Center and has been working relentlessly to make the center as streamlined as possible.
The Launch Center’s Mission
The Launch Center is designed to help students through every part of entering life after college. It is designed for everyone, whether you’re in your first week on campus or graduating in two weeks. The Launch Center is there to help you build your résumé, find internships, research grad schools, and connect with alumni. It will provide training on how to get through job interviews. The ultimate goal of The Launch Center is to help students prepare for their career path.
Meet the Student Coaches
The Launch Center currently has nine student coaches who can walk you through every step of building your resume and finding your career path before and after graduation. The Launch Center team includes Brock Nye and Maybel Harris, the team leads, and Arianna Hall, Audrey McKeon, Caleb Palmer, Devin Barbee, Michael Ellis, Samuel Candland, and myself (Oli Byrd). We are all excited to work with you and help in any way we can.
Important Information
The Launch Center is located in Main Hall room 329. Currently, the hours are as follows:
Monday: 12:00 pm — 4:00 pm
Tuesday: 12:00 pm — 4:00 pm
Wednesday: 12:00 pm — 4:00 pm
Thursday: 12:00 pm — 6:00 pm
Friday: 12:00 pm — 4:00 pm
You can either make an appointment here or walk in anytime. If you do not need help with anything, you can still drop by for some vibes. If getting help with your resume is not enough motivation to drop in, we do have snacks in there.
