Are you ready for the weekend but looking for something fun to spice things up? Check out these activities!

Date Night

This Friday at 7pm in the Stoddard Center is the first Date Night of the year, with an ‘Artpalooza’ theme. Couples will get to create art through three different mediums. So, get yourself a date and head on over. The event is free but make sure you RSVP on the Knight App to save your spot.

The Glass Menagerie

On Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 7:30pm to 10:30pm you can catch Southern Virginia’s latest theater production, The Glass Menagerie. To read more about this production click here.

Sports

This weekend, Southern Virginia’s soccer and football teams will be busy. On Saturday, the football team plays Wesley University at 1pm. Also on Saturday, the women’s soccer team will be playing here against St. Mary’s University at 5pm, and the men’s soccer teams will play St. Mary’s University at 7:30pm. Let’s go cheer on our Knights!

Goat Yoga

Interested in Goat Yoga? Then this could be your cup of tea. On Sunday at 1:00pm, The BARN at Autumn Ridge in Lexington is hosting a beginners Goat Yoga session. Pre-registration is required, and more information can be found here.

Queen City Mischief and Magic Festival

(Formerly known as the Harry Potter Festival)

This is for all the major Harry Potter fans out there! From Friday the 28th to Sunday the 30th, Staunton is hosting its annual Queen City Mischief and Magic festival. Break out your wands and fly on down to Staunton for a magical day filled with wizard dueling, beast taming and potion creating. Costumes are encouraged.

Bacon Fest

Hungry for more? Down at Roanoke’s Elmwood Park on Saturday is the 2018 Bacon Fest starting at 10am. The festival includes everything from bacon tacos to bacon cupcakes, live music and vendors selling artisan goods. General admission is $5 and proceeds go to Roanoke Catholic School. Hymns on the Hill

All singers and non-singers alike are invited to Hymns on the Hill, a “rain-or-shine” school tradition every Sunday at 9pm in front of Main Hall.
