Our students come from all over, and so do their NFL team loyalties. The wide variety of favorite teams mirrors our diverse backgrounds and creates an intriguing tapestry of football fandom. The unique stories and passions of students who support teams are as iconic as they are unexpected, showcasing the colorful world of NFL fandom that unites us all.

Clark Shaffer (’24) loves the Washington Commanders. He’s originally from Pennsylvania but has always followed Washington’s football team because of watching the games with his father. “I like the Commanders cause he liked the Redskins.”

Helen Candland (’26) is a Ravens fan who grew up near Baltimore and her family roots are deep with the Ravens. All four of her brothers are diehard Ravens fans who instilled the love in Helen.

Elise Curtis (’27) had trouble deciding between the Kansas City Chiefs or the Seattle Seahawks. She stated, “I grew up in Washington, but I lived near the Chiefs for most of my life.”

Morgan Romney (’26) who spent her life all around the world but calls Texas home is a fan of the Dallas Cowboys, saying, “Gotta be the Cowboys cause I’m from Dallas and it’s America’s team.” (Many would argue they are not “America’s team”).

Francisco Ramirez (’25) from Los Angeles laughed when asked about his favorite football team, due to LA’s history of teams coming and going. He went on to say, “I have a couple of teams I watch, but I’m not a diehard fan of any, but I am a die hard hater of the Raiders.”

The mosaic of NFL fandom at our school is a reflection of the diverse and shared passions that make our community unique. From coast to coast, students proudly don the colors of their favorite teams, whether they’re supporting storied franchises or cheering for the underdogs. As we continue to celebrate our individual team loyalties, let us also revel in the sense of camaraderie that comes from sharing the ups and downs of the NFL season with our fellow students. In this shared love for the game, we find a connection that transcends boundaries and underscores the beauty of our school’s rich tapestry of NFL fandom.
