As a native New Yorker pursuing a BFA in Communication Design at CUNY, Shaniah is a talented UI/UX Designer and Researcher passionate about bringing a fresh perspective to the tech industry.
We had the pleasure of meeting Shaniah at IAC23 in New Orleans, where she shared with us her experience. “As a scholarship recipient, I was eager to get my foot in the door and take my experience from the classroom to the industry. Not only was the conference packed with valuable insight, but I was able to network with professionals in the industry, establish mentorships, and gain valuable insight that will propel me in my career.”

As her UX & UI design professor, I was proud she was chosen for the student scholarship at IAC, but really not surprised,” said Noreen Whysel, who teaches UX and UI Design at City Tech. “Her work has been top-notch.
