It is never too early for children to embark on their writing journey. Using different writing tools such as crayons, chalk and markers to make lines and scribbles is one way they can be taught to express themselves. This week, our preschoolers enjoyed a fun session of Music and Mark-making, where they had various choices of writing tools which they used creatively for dabbing, rotating and making vertical lines. While thus engaged, the preschoolers were exposed to music of varying beats to see how it affected their writing!

Combining music with mark making helps children focus better, keep on the task, and have fun! We encourage parents to help their toddlers use fingers to draw in the sand, paint on easels and mould play dough to promote fine motor and writing readiness.
