Unit 1 Summative Assessment

In the last few days of October, as the first grade unit on Healthy Lifestyles came to a close, our students were provided with the option to choose between making a poster or a short video to show their understanding. The students chose the subject they wanted to discuss from a range of topics they had learnt about during the entire length of the unit.

They began by filling out a graphic organiser with their main idea and all the details they had about that idea. Then each student met up with the teachers 1 on 1 to help organise the information they had brainstormed in their graphic organisers.

Once they had the entire information ready and organised, students began their summative projects and started creating posters or making videos using an iPad. The students worked hard to put together their presentations. Please click the following link to have a look:
