Beginner’s guide to purchasing Joy tokens from The Joy’s website
First of all, you need to register on our whitelist. In order to do that go to https://accounts.thejoy.io/signup You will need to enter your e-mail address and set a password.
Next, to purchase Joycoins, you need to buy cryptocurrency first.
How to buy cryptocurrency to purchase Joycoins?
To buy cryptocurrencies, you need a digital currency exchange or broker such as Coinbase, Kraken, Cex.io, Bitpanda, Anycoindirect.eu, etc. Coinbase is one of the biggest U.S. based cryptocurrency exchanges. Bitpanda is a Europe-only exchange. These exchanges are beginner-friendly and great to start out your journey in crypto. Coinbase is the best choice for a newbie in crypto, as it is the easiest one to use, so further we will use it as an example.
To register on an exchange you will need your name, email address and a password. Some exchanges may require an identity verification, which includes sending scans of your passport, photo of yourself with your ID and providing your telephone number. This check might take some time. Most exchanges require you to connect with your bank account to pay for your Bitcoin (or any other cryptocurrency) purchase.
On Coinbase you can buy cryptocurrency with fiat money. Fiat money is basically any currency that has been established as money under the country’s government regulation. So, the U.S. dollar is fiat money, as are the euro and many other major world currencies.

Finally, you can go to the exchange’s “buy” section. Select the cryptocurrency and the amount you want to buy. In the case of some cryptocurrencies, for example, Bitcoin, you can buy less than one, 0.05 or even 0.00000001.
On Coinbase you can enter the fiat currency amount you want to invest and it will automatically display the amount of cryptocurrency you would receive, excluding their fee.
Depending on the exchange, you can buy cryptocurrencies with your credit card or a bank transfer! On Coinbase you can buy ETH (Ethereum), BTC (Bitcoin) or LTC (Litecoin) via bank transfer and then transfer them directly to your Whitelist account on thejoy.io.
Now that you have bought cryptocurrency from your preferred exchange and have it on your digital wallet e.g. Coinbase or external wallet if you decided to use one, you can buy Joycoins, congratulations!
Then, to buy Joycoin, follow the steps below.
- Go to https://thejoy.io
2. Press the green button that says “Buy Joycoins”
3. Enter the desired amount of tokens that you want to buy.
Note: Minimum amount of tokens available for purchase is 3000 Joycoins
4. Choose the currency that you want to pay for Joycoins
5. You will see the address to which you should send the deposit, there are also QR codes for your convenience.
6. Copy the Ethereum (ETH) address (the long set of numbers and letters displayed in the yellow frame). That is your Ethereum address to which you want to send Ethereum you have purchased on an exchange.
7. In our Coinbase example, you need to paste your Ethereum address from The Joy website in your Coinbase account during the transfer. Select how much Ethereum you want to send and confirm the transfer.

8. Done!
It may take some time before the tokens appear in your whitelist account, so do not worry if they do not appear there immediately. You can check the transaction status here in the bottom of the page:

Once the transaction is complete your tokens will appear in your whitelist account.
