What is The Joy all about?

Creating The Joy came across our minds after we understood that there is no one-app solution, which allows ordering beauty and wellness treatments and then scheduling all the procedures from the comfort of your sofa. Available solutions were either impractical or lacked specific features, making them virtually useless for our needs. That was unexpected because the beauty and wellness market is estimated at 4.2 trillion dollars and that’s about 5% of the world GDP. The UK businessmen open 626 beauty parlors a year and 70% of the German citizens are ready to order beauty services from home. So, with no ready-made solutions present on the market and obvious demand, we had to create something of our own. That’s how The Joy started.

The Joy is the first platform for both consumers and providers of wellness and beauty treatments. Consumers can invite practitioners to any place or schedule an appointment in a beauty salon or spa by using The Joy app. That’s how they will get high-quality beauty treatments at a convenient place without worrying about wasting time. At the same time, the app provides salons and freelancers with orders, so it’s a win-win situation. Advertisers can also benefit from using the platform, as The Joy provides offline and online advertising opportunities. Companies can do promotions and gain access to the platform’s big data statistics.

So, here are the main goals of The Joy platform:

  • Help customers to order wellness and beauty treatments.
  • Provide freelancers and parlor owners with a simple and efficient way to deal with financial planning and logistics; increase brand awareness and business efficiency along with providing new marketing channels.
  • Give businesses and companies ability to place efficient ads and increase sales by using The Joy.

In order to better formulate our vision, we decided to search for our potential competitors’ weak spots and improve on their approach. Here’s what they lack:

  • Can’t book a parlor or a practitioner without waiting for confirmation.
  • The range of beauty treatments or specific practitioners is quite limited.
  • Most of the services are from the premium segment of the market, not allowing people with lower income to use them.
  • No bonus or referral programs, therefore, clients are less motivated to use services and practitioners are less motivated to offer them.
  • Some platforms don’t perform quality checks on parlors and practitioners. As a result, the service level is quite low.
  • No built-in features to help with time management, accounting or logistics. Parlor owners and practitioners have to solve these issues themselves.
  • Unfavorable pricing (terms) for parlors and freelance practitioners.
  • Proper systematic marketing effort from the platforms, no built-in advertising options. The burden of promoting services stays on practitioners’ and parlor owners’ shoulders.

These issues interfere with platforms’ attempts to build long-term business relations with companies and to provide consumers with quality services. Advertisers don’t consider these platforms suitable for placing ads and even if they reach out there are no mechanisms for successful cooperation. The Joy fixes these issues to create a unified platform convenient for business owners, freelancers, consumers, and advertisers.
