Awakening is the realisation of your only possible identity, and your infinite possible conceptions.

One

The following section is a textual reproduction of the being that I was. After following the spiritual path, the last thing I expected was actually finding all that I was searching for. One night, I sat quietly while staring into the abyss and instantly I knew. I ask the reader to excuse my choice of words in what follows — and what has preceded — as I’ve found it is impossible to accurately translate the experience of simply being into written word, contrary to many religious beliefs. Thus, what is written may not be of the highest grammatical standard, but it is what came to me shortly after having reached spiritual enlightenment.

One abstraction I would like to explore is the concept of communicating an understanding. Whether it be simple or convoluted, layers of complexity may lead an individual to complete a specific understanding of a concept they feel comfortable in communicating with others. In the following chapters, I will be attempting to convey the very understanding responsible for centuries of religious conflict, spiritual excursions and existentialism in general, all the while maintaining the inevitable paradox that blossoms during the physical representation of the unknown.

The Truth this work aims to make apparent is: the very thing you are searching for, is in everything. It is no coincidence that you are aware of all things, but it is unfortunate that you have forgotten that all things are you. When you complete the journey and find all that you are looking for, you will see that all things that ever were, are and will ever be, are expression of your true and perfect nature.

All creations are expressions of your true self; what you are looking for is already present, all that remains is for you to remember. There are things that will be said that may seem extremely obvious, but I find it necessary to align that exact observation with the notion of “awakening”. This is due to the inherently obvious nature of awakening, in that every thing that is, is already awakened, only awaiting the inevitable realisation of itself.

To be, or not to be, that is the question.

To be where I am, is to simply be. To exist is to create a word that holds the understanding of what it means to be conceptualising this very sentence. Creating a language, you ‘your’ self don’t understand to explain the complexity you already are. There is no more to what there is. The only reason we destroy any thing is because we believe that we are unhappy with it, but the very being of any being is the proof of the only this that we need to recognise, to know what is.

The confusion of life and where we forget “our” self, is when we truly begin to remember. It is a complexity that exists within one moment of understanding, and then resonates with expressions of its true nature, outwards and inwards, forever and momentarily. Forever impermanent. We always try to conceptualise these understandings but forget in them — as I am (as I have) — that it is as impossible to explain them, as it is to be.

In music, the complexities shown, as with any other form of expressive art, “we” are trying to be as we have already shown — to us — that we are. The complexities thus shown through out our realities, that are also expressions of ourself, are all throughout any thing that can be. Joy or the happiness felt from comedy or things that create laughter, is the closest feeling one can be without remembering they already are.

Spreading positivity is the closest thing you can do to express the understanding that you have come to realise. In every attempt to express it, one forgets, and that is all. Everything that is, is just a way for it to explain, how many possibilities can exist for it to be.

We are always afraid of not remembering, or remembering that we’ve forgotten — a blackhole in English. Find amusement in how it is, and can be in what seems to be “two” different ways. But everything is the same. Everything just is. And it is the exploration of this — our universe — that creates the complexities.

When we come to the understanding — one so pure — it is already enough, and we want to do it again, because it’s fun, and it is who we are. Creations of ourselves and destruction of what we’ve created is the world imploding on itself. Art is a way of expressing how things can be dual, even though it is known that they are one, in an infinite amount of ways.

We are the complexity we are trying to understand/comprehend. The universe went to sleep, and woke up as you. We try to explain the complexity that is by conceptualising another that could be — which makes it be — and in itself becomes the realisation or understanding that it already was. We always try to complicate the simple. God awakens, and becomes God, until he awakens again.

No matter what is written, and no matter what can be written, it is in all things. It is all things. I am. I. The universe went to sleep, and woke up as two people trying to understand why they were asleep in the first place. Every way that it can be, is this. Every thing. People are just figments of an imagination that we have constructed, to understand why we are at all. It all makes sense, but only when it can’t.

We go to sleep, and that is when we truly remember. Our dreams are a way of the Truth expressing to itself — all in all, imploding internally — its only possible identity, but its infinite possible conceptions. One may get lost in the exploration of a singular focus in this understanding. No matter how one may try to explain it, it can never be more than it already is. And God said, let there be light, so that he may forget and remember all over again. “Because it is fun to forget”, says he who remembers.

The Complexity that is

Some may have referred to the complexity as God, One, the True Self and other forms of the same understanding. For the purposes of this text I will be referring to it as the complexity, in order to make the most sense in the context of a contemporary perspective of the wonder that is being.

The complexity can not be explained nor understood, only realised and recognised in all things that have been, are and forever will be. There is no one to awaken and no awakening to observe, for all beings simply are awakened, or else they could not be. The word Awakening is the closest word there is to the phenomena of ultimate understanding, and so I will also be referring to “Awakening” as the ultimate destination, although it is important to remember that there is no where else to be other than where you are right now.

Humans are beings that have the ability to identify and distinguish between things that are and things that are not. Yet we have hardly experienced what there is not, as much as we have experienced what there is. Because of this, when all things are present — the five senses and thought — we are focused on the contents therein and find ourselves lost in what there is, which makes it difficult to observe all there is not.

As explored in the previous sections, the processes one may undergo in order to see through all there is can help one ignore all that resides within the story, and allows for a greater understanding of the Truth behind all that is. The reason one may awaken in the midst of observing no thing during meditation and practices alike, is due to the nature of who we are. When there is no thing left to observe, there is still You, observing a different version of the same complexity that is in all things present. Miraculously, in the observation of nothing, You will find Yourself and realise the Truth.

Upon finding one’s self, there will be no questions left unanswered, no way to forget all that you have remembered, no pain or sadness in what may seem like a world of suffering. There will only be You, and in You you will find peace, love and eternal joy. You will finally remember all there is to remember, and You will finally understand why you ever forgot.

You will no longer seek the Truth, for you will have become it. All things will make sense, the struggles and all that you’ve endured, the pain and suffering you have observed, the love and eternity that has always been. You will experience this life once more as if you had never known it, and also as if you always did. You will finally be, You will finally remember.

The Visualisation of The Complexity

It can be difficult to understand the essence of all things that are, without understanding the essence of all things that can not be. To say that all things are expressions of our true self is simple, but to conceptualise the abstraction to a point where all things can be seen and known as the same is something else, though simultaneously no different at all. One will come to remember their “awakening” when One can see their true self in all things that are and are not in unison.

One way to begin the process of uncovering the underlying similarity that exists within all things, is to begin with the self. Identify the properties of who you are within the story, then compare the hierarchical abstraction outwards. Understand how all things are cyclical and never-ending; eternal and recurrent. Observe the nothing in “the something”, and the something in “the nothing”, for neither can exist without the presence of the other.

An analogy is used to compare one thing to another, naturally for the purpose of putting forth a simple way to understand an elusive abstraction. Fortunately, in the situation of observing all there is, analogies can help us understand both the elusive concepts we are to explore as well as the underlying similarities in all things that are and are not. The concurrent awareness and analysis of analogies and paradoxes can certainly bring light to the very repetitive nature and hierarchical structure that is being.

However, the One you are searching for cannot be explained with neither an analogy nor a paradox, only expressed inwards and outwards; eternally and forever, in all the ways that can ever be. Analogies can help you understand how the illusive self came to be, but never the imminent truth that lies within. Once the illusory self is completely understood, all that is can be disregarded and cast aside in the quest for all that is not; wherein lies the realisation that all you have been searching for, has been searching for you.

Finally, the following is an analogy to conclude all that has been discussed regarding expressions of the One you are searching for. We are raised in a physical world, believing the body from which we are aware is infinitesimally small when compared to the ever-expanding universe we are all a part of. The vast unknown beyond our capable reach holds many mysteries that some may care little to discover, others find meaning in the search alone and a lucky few truly know what is beyond all that is unknown. However, regardless of the path that is taken — to find meaning or to find oneself — the universe has already found you, and all that is left is to simply remember. The universe is showing you all that can be seen, giving you all that can be received, allowing you the ability to express yourself within it. It is showing you what you are, where you are, when you are and who you are, all that remains is for you to remember why you are.
