Hey Human That is Woman,

A few days ago I went out. It’s a rare thing. Perhaps I don’t go out enough. Perhaps my lack of social exposure was responsible for the shock that I felt when I saw two sisters who loved the presence of one another greet each other with, “Hey, bitch”.

I can only come to one conclusion: Some of us have taken our appreciation for the talents of Dr. Doolittle just a little too far.

When did it become right to refer to another human being as a bitch, a heifer, a pig or a dog?

When did it become acceptable for us to call ourselves bad bitches and revel in “bitchery”?

Why do we dutifully and proudly confer upon ourselves a status lower than that which was ascribed to us by our Creator?

He deemed you far more than a dog or cow and because he placed such great value on the entity that is you he created you in his image and his likeness.

These words — bitch, heifer, pig, dog — are not terms of endearment. They therefore should not be used in greeting to this woman for whom you’d probably lay your life down nor should they be used to describe the man who disappointed your heart.

These words were created for specific entities; un-human entities.

We were made higher than the animals and given dominion over them. Why then should we answer to bitch or to heifer with smiles on our faces?

Please. Understand who you are. Internalize it. You are a human being, made in the image and likeness of a God who gave you dominion over the things which you seek to liken yourself to.

Sincerely,
Your Sister
