A new trend in urban planning, Social Lab, a participatory social design, has started in Europe in recent years and it is the second year in Sham Shui Po District in Hong Kong by Make a Difference Institute . I am very excited and honored to be in the core lab team to start the LIBoratory Project, which aims to investigate how the library (Po On Road Library) can improve the quality of life of local citizens (Sham Shui Po residents), including the marginalized groups such as ethnic minorities, low-income families and new immigrants. We will be collecting their stories in order to figure out the authentic needs in the library and the community, then to co-create a prototype of an ideal library. Let’s anticipate!

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step
