The Covid-19 pandemic took the world by storm and affected the lives of the people in every possible way and the ones who got affected the most were the children and youth who had left with very few productive opportunities and activities at home during these stressful times.

To get them engage in creative activities, The Little Art came up with the idea of an online exhibition of stories, artworks, photos and calligraphy. The purpose of “Staying at home? Lets’ create” exhibition was to engage both children and youth in art activities and to see how they express their hopes, fears, thoughts and imaginations through the medium of art because it was equally important to know how children and youth coped up with this situation by staying at home.

We received around 1,925 artworks, calligraphies and digital designs, 299 short stories and 315 Photos with stories. The Little Art was thrilled to receive more than 2500 submissions from more than 43 cities from all across the Pakistan. We also received submissions internationally from Sharjah, South Korea, Italy, Jubail and Muscat.

This online exhibition was aimed to help children and youth express their thoughts and emotions during the lockdown period. It consisted of four different art forms i.e. Digital Artwork, Calligraphy, 1photo, 1story and Write a short story. The allowed age group was 3–24 so that both children and youth could participate in it. The themes were also related to the current situation prevailing in the society due to corona virus and how it has impacted our lives, family relations and self-hygiene routines. The competition also included themes of hope and memories of the past.
