Konrad Yakabuski explores the recent influx of Parisians and others from France towards Montreal. Anyone who has spent any significant amount of time in Le Plateau in recent years has undoubtedly noticed an increase of Parisian french being spoken on the streets, in the cafes and restaurants. With France taking the #1 spot as the top source of newcomers to Quebec in 2015, it won’t be long, as Yakabuski jokes, until we will be calling Le Plateau “La Petite France” instead.
